Here are 3 steps in my journey to organize what lead to the dream of Archoral!
Connecting my family history artifacts starts here
Step 1:
We knew we needed a warehouse-size space to lay out everything I have, so it could be digitized, cleaned, and preserved. If we were going to test the boundaries of our family history application… we already had what we needed!
We were excited as we all got out to find the perfect location in Tucker, GA!
Cue the moving trucks from storage to the warehouse!
It had been so many years since we moved from the ranches and the family collections went into storage, that I had little concept of all that we had.
Now that Archoral has a headquarters, it’s time to start organizing and cataloging… putting the stories back together!
Get sweeping Charlie, we’re about to cue the moving trucks!
SOOOOOOOO MUCH STUFF!!!!
Step 3:
Summer is coming!
Here in Georgia that means some blistering heat and humidity!
We moved all photos, videos, documents, and other temperature sensitive items out of the warehouse and into the climate controlled office space. But don’t forget that wood, fabrics and all other items are affected by heat and humidity!
So it was time to plug in that portable A/C and dehumidifier unit!
Who doesn’t like a nice cool breeze???
